Srinagar, April 5 (IANS) In a sudden flare-up, five terrorists and three Indian soldiers were killed and three Pakistan soldiers injured in two separate incidents on the Line of Control (LoC) on Sunday in Jammu & Kashmir.

Defence spokesman, Colonel Rajesh Kalia told IANS, "Five terrorists and three soldiers were killed when the Indian Army intercepted a group of heavily armed infiltrating terrorists in Rungdori Behak area of Keran sector".

The Pakistan army also violated ceasefire on the LoC in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district today.

A defence sources said, "Indian positions retaliated strongly and effectively. Three Pakistani soldiers, including a JCO and two other soldiers, were injured.

"The injured Pakistani soldiers include JCO Mukhtar, sepoy Ajmal and sepoy Nadeem. They have removed the injured to military hospital Kharian on their side of the LoC", the source added.

The security forces have killed nine terrorists in Kashmir during the last 24 hours.

Four terrorists belonging to Hizbul Mujahideen outfit were killed yesterday in an encounter with the security forces in Kulgam district.
